Lower Mainland gas prices expected to decrease further after historic drop

After a historic drop in gas prices that saw a decrease of 10 cents today — they’re expected to go even lower tomorrow.

According to gas price expert, Dan McTeague, prices in the region will fall another 5 cents/ litre (net) on Friday.

McTeague says this decrease means the “most” you’ll be paying at the pump Friday is 138.9 cents/ litre.

This is on top of the net 10 cent/ litre drop that took place on Thursday, which McTeague described as “the single biggest single day drop in over a decade for SW BC.”

The price drop can already be seen at the pump. Yesterday’s lowest average price in Vancouver was 143.9 centre/ litre.

Today the lowest average price in the city currently sits at 134.9 cents/ litre at the Shell Station located at 2103 W Broadway and Arbutus Street.
