A Vancouver-based YouTuber has remade the Game of Thrones opening into world maps from the video game The Legend of Zelda. The result is CGI perfection.

Megasteakman, a popular YouTube channel dedicated to clever fandom tributes, has amassed just under half a million views on their newest release: Game of Hyrule. The trailer matches the infamous Game of Thrones opening credits with a Zelda twist – a faithful homage that any video game fan will instantly recognize and appreciate.

From the video’s YouTube description:

The Legend of Zelda, Link to the Past world map undergoes a Game of Thrones transformation in this epic, CG intro sequence. Netflix should hire us to do the intro for their ‘canceled’ Hyrule romp. I hope you guys like it, and remember: in the Game of Hyrule you win… or you look up the answer to that puzzle online.

In Vancouver’s bustling industry of film production and visual effects, it’s great to see indie producers continue to come out with such high-quality work for the enjoyment of fans everywhere.
