Inside Vancouver’s first all-soufflé pancake cafe before it opens (PHOTOS)
We told you about Vancouver’s first all-soufflé pancake spot, Fufú Café, last week, but today we got a sneak peek inside the stunning little gem before it officially opens to the public September 7.

Located at 1266 West Broadway, the chic 20-seat, 1,040-sq. ft. spot is serving up some serious restaurant porn in addition to a full menu of fluffy, cloud-like, and wobbly pancakes.

Fufú will offer both made-to-order sweet and savoury pancakes with toppings from local purveyors and housemade sauces too.
In addition to the pancakes, patrons will find pastries from local favourite Remi Patisserie, fresh fruit soda, cheese foam fruit tea, caffeinated beverages, tea lattes, and soon, bubble tea.

When you order the Fufú Classic Soufflé Pancake there are two toppings you can opt for. One with butter, maple syrup, and ‘Fufu’ icing sugar, and the other with sea salt, mascarpone cheese, and whipped cream.
Some must-try sweet flavours include the Matcha Mochi made with shiratamako mochi, housemade matcha sauce, matcha whipped cream, double chocolate raspberry ice cream, white chocolate flakes, and matcha powder and the Tapioca Pearl Milk Tea, topped with earl grey milk tea sauce and tapioca pearls (this kind will be limited quantity, served after 3 pm).

In addition to the Nutella & Caramelize Banana and Tiramisu varieties, Fufú offers a drool-worthy Lemon Crème Brûlée Soufflé Pancake, which is torched-to-order.

The savoury pancakes will come with brunch, which will eventually be served on weekends until 3 pm (we’ll keep you posted when this officially launches).
The Smoked Salmon & Avocado pancakes are made with one poached egg, thick-sliced smoked salmon, housemade avocado sauce, and served with a local organic green salad.

The Eggs Benedict pancakes were some of our personal favourites, think two poached eggs, maple-glazed bacon (or switch to Oyama sausage for $2), housemade hollandaise, and a salad.

All this, and seasonal rotating specials, await you at Fufú Café come the 7th. But there’s also something else that the first customers at the West Broadway spot can enjoy – free pancakes.
On opening day, September 7, the first 50 customers at Fufú will receive a FREE order of the original pancakes (with the diner’s choice of one of two toppings). The original pancakes will be the only dish up for order on this date.
After those 50 are claimed, the cafe will be offering the original pancakes for 50% off for the remainder of the day.

Fufú Café will be open daily from 11 am to 10 pm after its official opening, but you might find this spot open next week if you happen to stop by.
