A brand new festival focused on ” juicy beers and encouraging craft partnerships” is coming to the Fraser Valley this summer.
Known as the Fraser Valley Fruit Beer Festival, the event takes place on August 24, in Abbotsford, and is being put on by West Craft, an independent craft beverage brand promotion consultation business.
Those who attend the event can expect to see fruited saisons, mixed-fermentation ales, pilsners, pale ales, milkshake beers, and many more different styles of beer made with local British Columbia produce, as well as some products from other small breweries across Canada and the United States.
The festival will also feature live music, from artists Daniel Tait, and Tiger Moon, as well as food options from Banter Ice Cream, Big Day Barbecue, and Downlow Chicken Shack.
Tickets must be purchased in advance, as none will be sold at the door, and each ticket will include the option of a scoop of ice cream from Banter.
For those concerned about drinking and driving, the festival’s organizers are also offering a shuttle pick up and return option from both Lougheed Town Centre and King George SkyTrain stations.
More information on the festival, as well as tickets, are available on the event’s website.
