Friday Night Live: Friday nights heat up at Hastings Racecourse

Hastings Racecourse is the place to be this summer for excitement and thrills that only horse racing can bring – and now you’ll have another reason to go.

Starting August 7 and running until September 4, there will be live racing every Friday night.

Marketing Manager Spiro Khouri says the idea behind launching a Friday night racing series was “to give a new and younger demographic the opportunity to enjoy live racing as a form of night time entertainment built into their weekend plans.”

Khouri adds: “Also, the business community were looking for an evening event to host their staff and clients and this worked out great.”

Friday Night Live presented by Smirnoff is an event you won’t want to miss, with food and drink specials, a live DJ and, of course, the best excuse to wear your finest dresses, suits and head toppers. That’s because this event is meant to be enjoyed as a more dressy night out.

And all of this can be enjoyed at one of the most scenic racetracks in North America. Each year, an estimated 250,000 people go through to experience the breathtaking views Hastings Racecourse has to offer.

Whether you’re an experienced racetrack aficionado or it’s your first time, don’t be afraid to have fun at Hastings Racecourse.

“The atmosphere is unlike any other. Not only is there live racing under the lights, which itself is unique, but there is a live DJ and lots of food & beverage options. Add all that to the fact that it is always free to attend an event at Hastings and it is that much better,” remarks Khouri.
