The Fresh Prince of Bel Air reboot is reportedly in the very early stages of development, according to TVLine‘s Michael Ausiello.
The 90s sitcom starring Will Smith as Fresh Prince looks like it will receive the classic revival treatment in line with Full House. While the report says Smith will not be starring in the show, he will be producing along with James Lassiter, Caleeb Pinkett and wife Jada Pinkett-Smith.

“According to multiple sources, Smith’s production shingle, Overbrook Entertainment, is in the very early stages of developing a present-day family comedy that puts a new spin on the fish-out-of-water tale while maintaining the spirit of Fresh Prince. (An official longline is still being hammered out.)” says Ausiello in an article posted Thursday morning.
The now-syndicated comedy ran for six seasons on NBC and launched Smith into mainstream stardom beyond his successful rap career. Fresh Prince was never a number one ratings hit, however it did receive an average of over 13 million views for its first four seasons.
