New West’s popular Freebird Chicken Shack has quietly shuttered.

The much-loved River Market staple had been operating in its unit 112 space at 810 Quayside Drive since 2015.

While Free Bird will no longer operate under its own name and space, the eatery will be joining its sister restaurant, Longtail Kitchen, in the same River Market where the concept served patrons for the past several years.

In a brief explanation via Instagram Freebird reassured chicken lovers it would be bringing its rotisserie oven to its new spot.
