Free outdoor movies have really soared in popularity (See our full list of Free Outdoor Movies for Metro Vancouver) and they’ve landed in Vancouver’s newest neighbourhood the Village at False Creek or what Vancouverites will forever call it the “Olympic Village”. Dubbed the Summer Screen at The Village, every Thursday nights in August a movie will be shown. Of course this will be free for everyone to attend.

Every Thursday in August come and join us at The Village Plaza for an evening to remember as we showcase some of the finest Hollywood movies – both new and old.

Unlike regular open air theatres we will be creating a European Plaza environment with bistro style seating and gentle illumination through the trees.

As the sun sets to the West gaze over the City skyline and be thrilled with a unique mix of programming (schedule to be announced). This is an outdoor movie experience not matched anywhere else in the Lower Mainland.

Guests will be invited to bring down an evening picnic or purchase food from food carts brought down for the evening. Tables will be available to reserve closer to the date.

The gates will open each night at 8pm and the shows will start at sunset. If you want a bistro table you should reserve it with the Creekside Community Centre or call them at 604.257.3050.
