Free ice cream June 4 at Sweet Republic opening in White Rock
White Rock’s Marine Drive strip is getting a cool blast of new life thanks to the opening of Sweet Republic, a pop-up gourmet ice cream shop
Sweet Republic is the work of the Joseph Richard Group, who are installing the pop-up inside their new project, the Oceanside Yacht Club & Public House. This particular project is a re-brand of their existing White Rock property, The Hemingway.
The new dessert menu at Sweet Republic was designed by JRG Director of Culinary Operations, Chef Matthew Stowe (Top Chef Canada winner) and JRG Corporate Chef and Surrey local David Jorge (MasterChef Canada winner).
To celebrate the grand opening, Stowe and Jorge will be on hand at Sweet Republic from 11 am to 1 pm on Sunday, June 4, and during that time, everyone who comes to the pop-up will get one free ice cream. Now that’s a treat!
