Quinn Hughes is quickly becoming a household name throughout the United States.
The former Vancouver Canucks captain led the United States in scoring at the Olympics, helping his country win gold for the first time in 46 years. Hughes, along with several of his American teammates, have been popping up everywhere since, giving many a good laugh when he appeared to be intoxicated during a television spot on NBC.
The recent Hughes mania isn’t dying down just yet, either.
As reported by Michael Russo and Joe Smith of The Athletic, Hughes is set to appear on Saturday Night Live as well as The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Hughes will be on SNL in New York City on Saturday, before flying back to Minnesota to play for the Wild on Sunday. He’ll fly back to New York on Monday to appear onĀ The Tonight Show.
It won’t be just Hughes on The Tonight Show, either. The Athletic is also reporting that his brother, Jack, who scored the overtime winner to secure gold, will also be featured. Jack may also appear on SNL with his brother, though that’s dependent on how long it takes the New Jersey Devils to return home after a road game versus the St. Louis Blues earlier in the day.
Given the hockey played over the break, paired with the immense travel as of late, it’s safe to assume Hughes may need a bit of a breather in the near future. There won’t be much time for one, though, as he and his Wild teammates have their sights set on a long playoff run this spring.
