FIFA announces new ticket drop and it includes matches in Vancouver
A new wave of World Cup tickets is being released on Wednesday.
Tickets via FIFA.com will be released at 11 a.m. EDT/ 8 a.m. PDT and sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
Tickets to all 104 matches across Canada, the United States, and Mexico will be available for purchase, FIFA said.
This continues FIFA’s last-minute sales phase, with tickets being released until the end of the tournament.
The last-minute ticket phase first kicked off on April 1. Unlike previous ticket rollouts, this new phase does not include a lottery.
“At the start of sale, tickets will be available across categories 1 to 3 and the front-row seat categories, depending on the match,” FIFA announced.
“Given the nature of first-come, first-served sales and as in previous periods of high traffic, fans can expect digital queues, which allow FIFA to improve the user experience once fans are admitted. Users will be able to see the matches and categories for which tickets are available, select specific seats and proceed with their purchase, and they will receive confirmation once payment is completed.”
Thirteen FIFA World Cup matches will take place in Canada, with Vancouver hosting seven, while Toronto will host the other six. The United States will have 78 matches, while Mexico hosts 13.
FIFA has announced that there have already been more than five million tickets sold, while over 500 million ticket requests were made during the random selection draw period.
The 2026 World Cup is set to begin on June 11 and will continue through until the final on July 19, which is set to take place at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
The first World Cup match on Canadian soil is set for June 12 at BMO Field in Toronto, when Canada takes on Bosnia and Herzegovina. Vancouver’s first match is June 13 at BC Place, featuring a match between Australia and Türkiye.
