Canada has been eliminated, but the matches only get more important going forward at the FIFA World Cup.

The Round of 16 is in full swing, with Vancouver set to host its last match of the tournament on Tuesday, featuring Colombia and Switzerland.

With more teams being eliminated, the World Cup schedule is going to become a little bit more uneven going forward. That’s true too of the FIFA Fan Festival, which has different opening days this week.

The Fan Festival is closed on Monday and Wednesday this week. It’s open on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Check the opening and closing times, because those differ depending on the date as well.

Note that the Fan Festival is open on Sunday, despite no games being scheduled. That’s a “signature concert day,” featuring Toque, Finger Eleven and Mötley CrĂĽe.

The Arkells perform on Tuesday at 4:10 p.m., following Argentina-Egypt (9 a.m.) and Switzerland-Colombia (1 p.m.).

The quarter-finals kick off on Thursday, with France and Morocco (1 p.m.), followed by Flo Rida at 4:10 p.m.

The other matchup that’s set is England-Norway, who play at 2 p.m. on Saturday. That’s one of two matchups on Saturday, before Dallas Smith performs at 8:10 p.m.

The other two quarter-finals feature the winner of Spain-Portugal vs. the winner of USA-Belgium on Friday at noon, and the winner of Argentina-Egypt vs. the winner of Switzerland-Colombia on Saturday at 6 p.m.

The Fan Festival has been a hit, with large crowds flocking to the PNE fairgrounds at Hastings Park since the tournament began on June 11. Hastings Park has even reached capacity on occasion, doing so most recently during the Canada-Morocco match on Saturday.
