Much-loved Squamish cafe to reopen after devastating fire (PHOTOS)
After much-loved Squamish spot Fergie’s Café went up in flames in the early hours of April 3, 2018, loyal patrons weren’t sure if they’d ever get to enjoy the Sea-to-Sky institution again.
While no one was injured in the blaze, the building itself has suffered massive damage and only the trailer was saved from the small cafe located on the Cheakamus River by the Squamish Fire Rescue.

Now, well over a year later, the cafe’s owners have rebuilt, and the soft opening is well underway.
The cafe will be serving brunch outdoors from 8 am to 3 pm daily until the restaurant is ready to open, the official opening date is to come.
Some changes that are coming with the new and improved Fergie’s include table service (it was formerly counter service), it’s no longer seat-yourself, and guests can add their name and number to a waitlist.
The parking lot has changed and is now at the first entrance, and access to Fergie’s has changed, guests follow the wooden walkway from the parking lot to the dining room.
We’ll keep you posted on an exact opening date when it’s revealed.
