How would a full Expo and Millennium Line SkyTrain shutdown impact you? (SURVEY)

Dec 9 2019, 5:37 pm

Last Friday, after four full days of mediation and over 40 days of direct bargaining, the union representing SkyTrain’s Expo Line and Millennium Line workers announced a 72-hour strike notice.

If a deal isn’t reached by Tuesday at 5 am, Metro Vancouver would see a complete shutdown of service on both lines for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

The strike would effectively cripple Metro Vancouver’s transit network, making travel between Vancouver, Burnaby, Surrey, and Coquitlam substantially harder.

Daily Hive wants to hear how a full-blown shutdown of TransLink’s Expo and Millennium Line would affect you. Will you be relying more on other forms of public transportation? Or will you be forced to use taxis, carpool, and carshare programs?

Fill out our online form below or email us at [email protected] to have your say. Your answers will be used in editorial content looking at the impact of Metro Vancouver’s SkyTrain strike.
