Jul 24 2020, 2:03 am

UPDATE on July 24, 2020 at 9 am: Columbia Station reopened this morning following a prolonged closure. New Westminster Police are investigating the incident of a woman allegedly pushed into the tracks.

ORIGINAL STORY:

SkyTrain Expo Line is currently experiencing major service disruptions due to a medical emergency at Columbia Station.

TransLink says the medical emergency has resulted in the complete closure of Columbia Station, with Expo Line trains turning back at New Westminster, Braid, and Scott Road stations. Trains are not running through Columbia Station at this time.

A bus bridge shuttle service is in the process of being established to link the three stations. Passengers should allow for extra travel time or consider alternate travel options.

The Millennium and Canada lines are unaffected and operating normally.

The service disruptions on the Expo Line began shortly after 6 pm. There is no indication when normal service will resume.
