If you’re a House of Cards fan, you will appreciate how spot on this video is.

As a way to encourage citizens to get out and vote in the upcoming provincial election, YouTuber Alex Robinson created this uncanny remake of the House of Cards opening credits, transforming Washington D.C. into Edmonton.

Showing stunning imagery of Edmonton buildings, statues, streets and city-scapes, the video mixes timelapse cinematography with the epic HOC soundtrack.

The video took two weeks of timelapsing to put together. Treated with an amazing response from viewers, Robinson’s video was then put side by side with the real House of Cards intro in a separate video.

Any filmmakers up for making a Vancouver version?
