Eat Well Do Good "Foodraiser" will include yoga, pop-up café and marketplace (Contest)

Dec 19 2017, 8:12 pm

Giving back to the community can be delicious, thanks to the annual Eat Well Do Good “foodraiser” event that benefits the Vancouver Food Bank.

Hosted by Nature’s Path and their partners, Eat Well Do Good invites everyone to gather for a day of events, eats, and shopping on October 2, 2014, at the North square at the Vancouver Art Gallery.

The day kicks off with yoga led by YYoga (by donation), and is followed by breakfast and lunch at their pop-up organic café. You can dine at the breakfast buffet, or support the Food Bank by picking up some grab-and-go eats.

For breakfast they’ll have organic cereals, granola, and hot waffless from Nature’s Path. On the lunch menu it’s an organic nacho bar, and Qoola frozen yogurt. They’ll have Ethical Bean coffee and Happy Planet juices at both meals, too.

In their Marketplace you can shop for organic treats, and all proceeds benefit the food bank. In fact, for every $1 spent by attendees of the “foodraiser,” the Food Bank can buy $3 worth of food, which is pretty great incentive to head over to pick up even just a couple of snacks.

Nature’s Path has been doing a “foodraiser” event in Vancouver since 2009, when company founder Arran Stephens, heard the Dalai Lama speak about compassion and decided to create a community gathering that could help feed local families in need. To date, they have raised over $600,000 in food for people in Vancouver; Bellingham, Washington; and Sussex, Wisconsin.

  • Date: Thursday, October 2, 2014
