Much-loved East Village Bakery to close doors for good January 19

A much-loved Vancouver sweet spot has revealed it will be closing its doors for good this weekend.

East Village Bakery, located at 2166 E Hastings Street, put out a statement to let patrons know they only have a few days left to enjoy their signature creations.

Long-known for its artisan made-from-scratch baking, East Village specialized in gluten-free and vegan bread, cakes, and cookies to name a few.

The bakery has been operating in the city’s East Side for six years, owners say the decision to close was “a difficult decision but the right one at this time.”

East Village Bakery has no current plans to open in a new location.
