A beloved Vancouver restaurant has just closed
Vancouver restaurant Don at Kitsilano has announced that it has officially closed its doors.
“After an incredible journey, Don has officially closed its doors, successfully bringing this chapter to a close. We are proud of everything we built and grateful to every guest who dined with us, supported our team, and made this journey unforgettable,” wrote the restaurant on Instagram.

Don was best known for its selection of Asian tapas and focus on fresh and sustainable ingredients.
Highlights from the menu included its ZLB soup dumplings, foie gras smoked duck dunburi, and dino ribs, which the restaurant described as “slow-cooked Flinstone-sized black garlic glazed short ribs.”
“It was an unforgettable journey, and we’re proud to have ended this chapter at the right time. Grateful for everyone who supported us along the way,” added the restaurant in a comment.
The now-closed restaurant officially opened its doors in February 2023.

Many took to the comments of the closure announcement to share how much they would miss the eatery.
“Oh no!! You guys were the best 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 Will miss you guys and wish you all the best for the future, thank you for all the memories,” wrote one person.
“Don was one of my favourite restaurants. Sad to see you go,” added another.
“No!!! ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ You can’t leave. You guys are the best,” shared a third.
