While many businesses have had to cut staff amid the pandemic, Domino’s Pizza is providing some job opportunities by hiring 2,000 new employees across Canada.

The full- and part-time positions at the country’s largest pizza-delivery company include delivery experts, pizza makers, customer service representatives, managers, and assistant managers.

A news release announcing the new jobs says that more than 95% of Domino’s franchise owners began their careers with the pizza chain as part-time staff.

“It’s a privilege to be able to feed families and friends across the country and provide them with a small sense of normalcy during this pandemic,” said Steve Karagioules, Regional Vice President Quebec & Maritimes, in the release. “Our stores want to make sure they’re not only feeding people but also providing opportunity to those looking for work.”

To keep customers and employees safe, Domino’s stores across Canada have ramped up their cleanliness and sanitization policies. New measures include masks for all staff, no indoor seating, and zero-contact service for takeout and delivery.

“We realize many folks are experiencing tough times right now, and we want to provide opportunities to those who have lost their jobs or are facing reduced hours,” Karagioules said. “If you are looking for a steady income and want to be a part of a great team, we encourage you to apply.”
