According to a release, the new Dollarama online store is intended to provide additional convenience and access to its ultra-low-cost goods and a new way to buy products in large quantities.
About 1,000 products are available online by full-case only, with merchandise entailing cleaning products, clothing, electronics, food, hardware, health and beauty, home, kitchen, office, party, and goods for pets and toys. The online prices are the same as in-store, but the company emphasizes that products cannot be purchased online in individual or select quantities.
The launch of the online store nation-wide comes after the company’s successful pilot website rollout in Quebec.
Montreal-based Dollarama has over 1,100 stores across Canada, and it competes against Canadian Tire, Miniso, and other ultra-low-cost retailers.
