The Digital Event: Real talk with recruiters on Thursday

Dec 19 2017, 11:57 pm

With graduation season coming to a close, tens of thousands of new graduates are now in the market for jobs.

If you are still on the hunt for a job, particularly within the technology and computer graphics sector, The Digital Hub at The Network Hub in downtown Vancouver could be a helpful resource. On Thursday, July 2, an information session will be held with recruiters offering advice on resumes, demo reels, one-on-one discussions and more.

“We’re connecting the student to the recruiters right now by creating an opportunity for the students,” said Minna Van, founder and community manager of The Network Hub.

These large company recruiters include Alan Chuck from Method Studios, Yuko Shinyashiki from Nerd Corps Entertainment, Jimmy Ockey from Imagine Engine Design and Ros Webb from MPC. These companies want to hire at least 100 people as soon as possible for projects that will begin very soon.

There are only 60 seats available for this workshop, so register fast.

“Ask as many questions a possible so you can go home and fix it,” Van added. “Take some of the advice to heart and revise it so you can get a job.”
