Vancouver designer London Alexander launches Dark Sea capsule

Each season, Vancouver’s London Alexander introduces a collection of menswear inspired by travel and, of course, the West Coast.

This fall, the young designer released his latest capsule, Dark Sea. The pitch black palette represents the inside of the black mother of pearl shells, according to Alexander. The winter collection includes a pitch black flannel long sleeve and short and beanie, Monochromatic winter staples for a cold dark season.

The latest capsule includes staples that can be paired together or worn interchangeably.

“Whether you’re building an outfit or curating a wardrobe, we aim to create high quality, silhouette focused pieces that remain true to our clean aesthetic with elements of fit and detail thoughtfully designed to transcend seasons,” said Alexander.

Alexander, who has been designing menswear in the city for six years, embodies the urban, contemporary look that creatively translates the seasons’ mood, and Dark Sea is a result of his recent travels.

“Creativity comes from everywhere. Friends, family, architecture, and online sources. We have access to so much these days. I find travel is a key influence when putting a capsule together. You get to see how different cultures operate. We are also inspired by British Columbia. Combining the Urban and Rural appeal of both to generate product we really like,” Alexander said.

Dark Sea is available on presale now until December 31.
