FEATURED ON THE LISTED GUIDE
If you need an excuse to visit the always stunning Deep Cove area—but aren’t in favour of sweating it out on a Quarry Rock hike—you’re in luck.
Deep Cove Daze Festival is returning this summer on the last Sunday of August. Located in North Vancouver at Panorama Park, vendors, musicians, and attendees alike will spend the day with the waters of the Indian Arm before them and green forests behind.
The one day festival packs a lot into its limited timeframe, and there will definitely be something for everyone—a beer garden, a kids’ area, and an artisanal market of over 50 vendors, to name a few.
Live music will be rocking throughout the day, and though the 2017 line-up has yet to be announced, last year’s included local groups The Deep Cove Big Band, the Ken McCoy Band, The Heels, and more.
The Festival runs from noon until 8 pm, though no one would blame you for sticking around as the sun goes down.
Parking is limited in the area, so taking transit instead of driving may be your best bet. The #212 from Phibbs Exchange runs every half an hour, with the last westbound bus leaving from Deep Cove at Panorama Drive and Naughton Avenue at 11:04 pm.
