Deadpool 2 officially confirmed! But is it coming back to Vancouver?

Good news film fans, Deadpool 2 has officially been confirmed.

Rumours of a sequel to the Vancouver-shot blockbuster were verified this week when 20th Century Fox studio head Stacey Snider announced the sequel had indeed been greenlit.

The news came as Snider was speaking at CinemaCon, an annual convention for the Association of Theatre Owners, where it was also confirmed that local boy Ryan Reynolds and director Tim Miller would be returning for the much-anticipated sequel.

There’s no news yet on whether the production will return to B.C.

But given the cast and crew’s ties to the region, we hope it won’t be too long before Marvel’s “Merc with a Mouth” makes his return to the streets of Vancouver.
