COVID-19 outbreak declared at Abbotsford Regional Hospital
Fraser Health has declared a COVID-19 outbreak at Abbotsford Regional Hospital after four patients tested positive for the virus.
All the infected patients are in one medical unit, and staff are coming up with a cohort plan to allow limited admissions to the unit to continue, the health authority said in a news release Wednesday.
It added there’s evidence at least some of the patients acquired their infection while in the hospital unit.

The health authority also announced a new COVID-19 outbreak at a long-term care facility attached to Langley Memorial Hospital. Three staff members at Cedar Hill residence have tested positive and are currently in self-isolation at home.
