Costco is soon opening its first Business Centre in Metro Vancouver, and it’s on the lookout for staff to help shoppers at the highly anticipated location.

As reported by Daily Hive last month, the Costco Business Centre in New Westminster’s Queensborough district at 1085 Tanaka Crt. will be opening on Friday, Nov. 14.

Not only is the one-stop shop Canada’s top grocery retailer, but it also offers its employees excellent benefits.

“Costco has one of the most competitive benefits packages in the industry,” states the store’s website.

“Not only do we provide our employees with a full spectrum of benefits (after meeting qualifying requirements), but employees may also elect coverage for their spouse and children. 100% of the premiums are paid by Costco!”

Costco is currently accepting applications for several positions at its new Business Centre at Tanaka Court, including:

  • Cashier assistant
  • Delivery driver
  • Finalizer
  • Maintenance assistant
  • Marketing road representative
  • Meat assistant
  • Member service assistant
  • Order picker
  • Stocker

Job seekers can also submit a general application for any position.

Costco added that it is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to fair and accessible employment procedures.

“Costco has policies in place to support employees and job applicants with disabilities with respect to providing suitable accommodation in a manner that takes into account their accessibility needs throughout the recruitment and hiring process,” the retailer stated online.

Business Centres cater specifically to business customers with bulk and specialized products, in contrast to the more common warehouses, which are tailored to everyday shoppers.

The company also has major plans to add at least two more store locations in Metro Vancouver.

Currently, there are 14 Costco locations across British Columbia, including seven locations within Metro Vancouver.
