Health officials in Kelowna have identified an additional date at a Cactus Club location where exposure to COVID-19 may have taken place.

Interior Health (IH) announced on Wednesday that people who visited Cactus Club on August 8 should self-monitor for symptoms. Specifically, anyone who was at the bar area of the 1-1370 Water Street location between 5 pm and midnight.

“Public health contact tracing is underway, and where possible, IH is reaching out directly to individuals who have been exposed,” reads a release from the health authority.

“Individuals seeking a test should call their primary care provider” or their nearest testing and assessment centre.

To date, there have been several locations identified by health officials as potential exposure sites for coronavirus, including the Cactus Club on Water Street, Pace Spin Studio, Discovery Bay Resort, and the Boyce Gryo Beach Lodge.

Symptoms of coronavirus include fever, cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, loss of taste or smell, and gastrointestinal issues.

Interior Health says that there have been 161 cases linked to Kelowna since June 26, 12 of which are active and under isolation.
