Coronavirus outbreak confirmed at Abbotsford fruit processing plant

Fraser Health has confirmed a COVID-19 outbreak at Nature’s Touch, an Abbotsford fruit processing plant.

In a statement, Fraser Health says five employees have tested positive for the virus and the facility has voluntarily closed until May 25.

“Case and contact management is ongoing,” said Fraser Health, adding that all close contacts of the employees who tested positive are being monitored.

Fraser Health has inspected the site and is “working with the facility to ensure the safety of all employees at the plant.”
