British Columbia health officials announced they’ve detected a new case of coronavirus in a woman who’s visiting the province from Tehran, Iran.

The woman in her 60s is staying with family in the Vancouver Coastal Health region, which encompasses Vancouver, Richmond, Sea to Sky country, and the Sunshine Coast.

The woman is in isolation at home and being monitored by health workers, Health Minister Adrian Dix said in a statement.

“Vancouver Coastal Health is actively investigating,” he said. “Close contacts have been identified and contacted by public health officials. Those who may be at risk are now in isolation for 14 days and are being actively monitored for symptoms.”

She’s the province’s eighth case of coronavirus, and the 19th person in Canada to be diagnosed with it. The other eleven cases of COVID-19 have been in Ontario.

BC health officials also revealed that three more people previously diagnosed with COVID-19 have recovered. Out of the province’s eight cases, four people have now made a full recovery.
