Police are investigating after a deadly Coquitlam crash on Thursday evening.

According to Coquitlam RCMP, the incident took place at 7:20 pm, on Schoolhouse Road, near Lucille Star Way. The collision involved a grey SUV and a black Dodge Durango.

Two people involved were taken to hospital with serious non-life threatening injuries. A third person was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Coquitlam RCMP’s Criminal Crash Investigation Team was “activated to process the evidence,” and the investigation is still in its early stages, police said.

As a result, police said no further details are being released at this time.
