Coquille Fine Seafood has confirmed to Daily Hive that it will be shuttering at the end of December, but did not provide an exact closing date.

The 100-seat Gastown restaurant came to us from L’Abattoir Chefs Lee Cooper and Jack Chen. It offers patrons a bounty of fresh-caught seafood and shellfish in a swanky Situ-designed interior.

With brand identity and signage by Glasfurd & Walker, the 181 Carrall Street eatery certainly looked the part and was a highly anticipated opening back in February 2018.

Daily Hive reached out for a reason for the closure but did not hear back in time for publishing.
