Drivers looking to travel to or from the BC Interior via the Coquihalla Highway this morning will have to find another route.

The mountain highway between Hope and Merritt is currently closed due to an accident overnight at the Portia Exit 202, according to a tweet from DriveBC.

Drivers are advised to use alternate routes such as Highway 1 or Highway 3.

According to a 10 am update from DriveBC, the highway is not expected to be reopened until noon today.
