Contest: Find Uganda's Children and Win!

Dec 19 2017, 12:19 pm

New contest for all of you coming up. We’re at it again with another Snow4Innocents contest, and this time we’ve got a scavenger hunt for you. At 1:00pm on Saturday, May 1st, Vancity Buzz and Snow4Innocents will scatter posters across downtown Vancouver and post a riddle to find the first location. The first person to successfully find all posters and make it to the last location wins!

On Saturday, May 1st, we’ll give you a riddle to the location of the first poster. After each find, you’ll get a code and a riddle. You’ll need to save each code so that when you get to the final location you can prove that you found every poster and become the winner!

Each poster is going to represent a story of a child from Uganda. These posters tell the story about the Snow4Innocents (s4i) cause to fight childhood disease in Uganda. To make sure you get the first riddle to find the first poster, do one or more of the following:

1) Follow @VancityBuzz and @Snow4Innocents on Twitter.
2) Become a fan of (s4i) and Vancity Buzz on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Snow4Innocents/390975546647 and http://www.facebook.com/vancity.buzz respectively.
3) RSVP to the Facebook event at http://bit.ly/vanScavenge.

As an added bonus, the prize at the end is going to help you with your hangover. We’ll be giving away another pound of Starbucks African coffee and two Starbucks mugs to the first person to find all posters.

(s4i) is skiing to fund the fight against childhood disease in Uganda. This June, Vancouver resident and SFU student Justin Long will climb and ski Africa’s third largest mountain to raise funds for Uganda’s only dedicated children’s hospital. Justin will also act out crazy ideas created and voted by the public on the expedition. Learn more at http://www.snow4innocents.org/ and participate with your own idea.
