Material flies off Vancouver high-rise construction site during windstorm (VIDEO)

Sunday’s powerful windstorm resulted in fallen trees, massive power outages, and a slew of wacky weather across Metro Vancouver.

It also blew building material off the top of an under-construction high-rise in Vancouver.

Video of the incident was captured and shared by Houston White.

“I saw a big metal pole go flying by first, and then the plywood started to come down,” he told Daily Hive. “Lucky no one was down in the driveway or on the bridge on-ramp.

Daily Hive has reached out to WorkSafeBC about the incident as well.

Sunday’s storm brought powerful gusts of up to 90 km/h with periods of hail, wet snow, and sunshine to the region.

A porta-potty was also blown out of place and into traffic on the Granville Street Bridge during the storm.

According to BC Hydro, 180,000 customers across BC lost power as result of the storm were as well.
