The FIFA Women’s World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola Fan Experience is coming to Vancouver from May 29 to 31, 2015, and you’ll get a chance to taste the tournament before the matches begin.

Visiting 12 cities coast-to-coast, the Coca-Cola Fan Experience will showcase the FIFA atmosphere and events and activities to fans before the 2015 Women’s World Cup begins on June 6 in Vancouver.

Soccer fans will get the chance to go head-to-head with the Coca-Cola Ultimate Goalie, record a cheer for their favourite team, hang out in the FIFA locker room, play 8-person foosball or learn a trick from expert freestylers.

The Fan Experience caps off with the Winner’s Tunnel, an exciting pathway toward the trophy display where fans will get their photo with the official FIFA Women’s World Cup™ Trophy. Waiting for them at the end of the experience will be “a perfectly served, limited edition aluminum bottle of ice-cold Coca-Cola”.

Shannon Denny, Director of Brand & Business Communications at Coca-Cola Refreshments Canada, says the Fan Experience is all about community.

“[It’s] an amazing opportunity for Canadians to celebrate the tournament in their own communities, and begin to rally support for the Canadian Women’s National team long before the first game,” she said in an interview with Vancity Buzz.

Coca-Cola and FIFA are anticipating the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup™ will be the largest live spectator event in Canadian history. For the pre-tournament Fan Experience, they are expecting more than two million Canadians to visit the event across 12 Canadian cities.

With big crowds in mind, their long-term goal is to inspire the next generation of female athletes.

“It will tap into the power of sport to set young women on a course for a more successful, satisfying and happy life,” says Denny.

Coca-Cola’s partnership with the FIFA World Cup™ dates back to 1978 and their reason for maintaining their support is simple. According to Denny, “both Coca-Cola and FIFA demonstrate an ongoing commitment to active, healthy living and support programs that encourage sport, activity and a balanced lifestyle.”

You can find the FIFA Women’s World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola Fan Experience at Metropolis at Metrotown from May 29 to 31. Tickets can be purchased here.
