Known as Pavilion, and located near East 5th Avenue and Main Street, the new space “will offer private offices and shared workspaces targeted to professional users,” those behind the project said.

Founded by local real estate developer Alabaster Group, the new space sits in an area dubbed “Mount Pixel” by some, due to the high concentration of tech firms, the neighbourhood bound by the Olympic Village, Broadway, Cambie Street, and Main Street.

However, the neighbourhood has also started attracting business from other sectors including finance, accounting, law, design, and media.

“Vancouver’s young startups are already well-served by existing co-working options,” said Yosh Kasahara, Managing Director of Pavilion Cowork. “Pavilion Cowork aims to provide an upscale shared office environment specifically for professionals; a place that they will feel proud to bring their clients.”

With interior design inspired by the Pacific Northwest, Pavilion Cowork will also offer private offices, individual desks, as well as virtual offices – available through exclusive memberships.

In addition to the workspace, Pavilion members will have access to an upscale lounge, a variety of meeting areas, private events, showers, locker rooms, and secure bicycle parking.

“The first location of Pavilion is located in a brand new, state-of-the-art building in the heart of Mount Pleasant,” said Kasahara. “We will offer our members the ideal space to build their networks and grow their businesses.”

The new space has a targeted opening of summer 2019, and interested parties are asked to register  online.
