City of Vancouver wants your input on False Creek Flats

Dec 19 2017, 11:24 pm

The City of Vancouver is looking for public input on the future development of the False Creek Flats.

About 8,000 people are employed in the district that’s home to over 600 businesses, and now Vancouverites will get a say in the direction the area will head.

The city says industrial lands comprises only 10 per cent of Vancouver’s total land, but half of us work in these areas.

The most recently announced change is moving St. Paul’s Hospital to near Main Street and Terminal Avenue at a cost of roughly $1.2 billion. The move will leave downtown Vancouver without a hospital.

A series of workshops were announced today to gather public input throughout the month of June. They’ll be on everything from culture to transportation.

Below is a list of the workshops. Click the hyperlinks to sign up.
