Vancouver's best restaurants unite under one roof for epic dining event

Vancouver definitely has no shortage of chef-hosted dinners celebrating a good cause, so what sets Chefs on Deck apart from the rest of them?

Firstly, the lineup of culinary talent is serious business. You’ve got chefs from some of Vancouver’s top restaurants, including JC Poirier of St. Lawrence, Mike Robbins of AnnaLena, Lee Cooper of Coquille and L’Abattoir, Andrea Carlson of Burdock and Co., Alex Chen of Boulevard, and of course Cactus’ own Rob Feenie. With so many great chefs in one space, it’s bound to be an unforgettable feast.

And as a bonus, the event is being held at Cactus Club Cafe in English Bay — making it one of the only beach-side dining events happening this fall. Let’s be honest, our beach days are officially done for 2019. But that doesn’t mean you still can’t still cosy up beside the beach and all its beauty — through the comfort of a beach-side heated restaurant.

Along with the oceanfront ambience, guests will receive a multi-course tasting menu from and expert wine pairings from sommeliers Shiva Reddy of Savio Volpe and Sebastien LeGoff from Cactus Club. Is there a better way to ring in fall than by cheers-ing each other by the beach?

Not only does the event have a stellar lineup of culinary all-stars, but 100% of tickets go straight to Camp Goodtimes — not your regular good cause. In conjunction with the Canadian Cancer Society, the very special charity has been providing a place for children with cancer to go to summer camp (as well as year-round programs) since 1985.

The empowering programs allow children and teens with cancer to gain confidence and build friendships in a supportive and medically-supervised environment. And all free of cost, thanks to generosity from events like these that allow the program to continue running.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to eat to your heart’s content, raise money for a very special cause, and experience an unforgettable menu from some of the city’s top culinary talent. Grab your tickets while you can!
