You can fly from Vancouver to Palm Springs, California for $246 this spring

Need a quick escape from Vancouver’s recent winter gloom? Take a flight down south to somewhere warmer and sunnier.

WestJet is holding a one-day flash sale and as a result, you can fly from Vancouver (YVR) to Palm Springs, California (PSP) for as low as $246.

Prices for flights in the spring can vary greatly, ranging anywhere from $320 to $520.

Dates for travel to Palm Springs are available during late March, all of April, and select dates in May and June.

In order to book, the airline company has created the following two coupon codes:

Coupon code 6B6C8B3E will score you 35% off Econo base fares, however, its only limited to the first 2,000 guests who book.

Use of the 35% off coupon is also limited by location and includes destinations like New York, Maui, Denver, Phoenix, and you guessed it, Palm Springs.

The coupon code E7VQ81K gives you 15% off Econo Base fares, good for travel to any destination in the United States.

Flights using either coupon code must be booked before February 20 at 10:59 PST. Both codes include some travel blackouts, so be sure to check their website.

Here’s how to book the deal: 

1. Visit the WestJet website.

2. Enter your departing and return destination as Vancouver (YVR) and Palm Springs, California (PSP) respectively.

3. Upon selecting travel dates, look for dates highlighted with a yellow tag — they’ll often take place on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in April, with a smaller selection in the surrounding months.

4. Enter one of the two coupon codes and proceed to the next screen.

Note: If the 35% off coupon doesn’t work, then apply the 15% coupon.

You’ll be able to book the same flights but have the advantage of fewer travel restrictions (a larger selection for dates of the week and fewer blackout dates).
