A potential exposure to COVID-19 has been identified at a shopping mall in Metro Vancouver.

In a release, Cadillac Fairview said they were informed by one of its clients at the CF Richmond Centre, 6551 Number 3 Road, location that there has been a confirmed case of coronavirus on the premises.

“The affected client, Zara, acted quickly and responsibly by immediately contacting Vancouver Coastal Heal VHC) and arranged for a deep-cleaning of their store,” said Sheila Luft, general manager of CF Richmond Centre, in the statement. “We have been in contact with Zara and VCH and at this point in time there is no further action required and the building can remain open for business.”

The shopping centre said that they have a number of cleaning measures in place, including sanitizing common and high-touch areas and increasing the number of hand sanitizer stations. It will continue to provide updates as they are received.

The notice comes almost two weeks after another exposure was reported in the mall. The Van’s shoe store reported a confirmed case of coronavirus on August 25.
