Team Yukon's Honda Celebration of Light 2025 fireworks song list

Jul 20 2025, 7:01 pm

Team Yukon’s 25-minute fireworks show at the 2025 Honda Celebration of Light featured an eclectic and emotionally charged soundtrack, blending cinematic flair with Canadian pride and classic hits.

The display for the first night of the 33rd annual Honda Celebration of Light was put on by Midnight Sun Fireworks, a Whitehorse-based volunteer troupe. They previously won the competition in 2022.

Set to the theme of “20,000 Leagues Under English Bay,” the pyromusical opened with Mark Snow’s sweeping orchestral score from “20,000 Leagues Under The Sea,” before diving into a vibrant mix of genres — from Perry Como’s “Papa Loves Mambo” to Dolly Parton’s “9 to 5,” and Lindsey Stirling’s electrifying “Roundtable Rival.”

A standout moment came with Nikki Yanofsky’s “I Believe,” paying tribute to the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics.
