Vancouver Coastal Health has identified a new risk of coronavirus exposure in a Vancouver alternative school program for Indigenous students.

Students in the Cedar Walk Program at 1043 Kingsway could have been exposed to COVID-19 on September 14, 15, 17 and 21, according to the health authority.

The Cedar Walk Program is run by the Urban Native Youth Association and works with youth aged 16 to 19 to graduate high school. Students complete core curriculum work through the program plus recreational and cultural activities.

Contact tracers will notify people individually if they’ve been in close contact with someone who’s tested positive for coronavirus, according to VCH.
