Vancouver Canucks star Elias Pettersson quietly got married to American model Katelyn Byrd
It looks like congratulations are in order for Elias Pettersson. The Vancouver Canucks star is a married man, according to a report out of Sweden.
It appears Pettersson tied the knot with American model and influencer Katelyn Byrd in Sweden this summer. Expressen’s Svante Stƶrlinge noted that the Swedish Tax Agency registered the marriage in July.
Rumours about Pettersson’s marital status sprang up earlier this month, when he was photographed wearing a ring on his left ring finger.

It’s not clear how long Byrd and Pettersson have been together, though Katelyn was spotted wearing a Team Sweden WAG jacket with Elias’ name and number on it at the 4 Nations Face-Off tournament last February.

Pettersson and Byrd have been relatively private about their relationship on social media, though fans have picked up on clues. Byrd has been sporting what looks like a diamond engagement ring in recent months, and she also now owns a YouTube accountĀ under the name “Katelyn Byrd Pettersson.”
Byrd, who has 320K followers on Instagram, says she moved from Wyoming to Los Angeles at age 17 to pursue a modelling career. She adds that she later became successful in the world of real estate and the stock market.
“Now I’m financially free from that, so I was able to buy my mom a home,” Byrd said in a “get to know me” video uploaded to TikTok in July. “I just bought my first ranch in Wyoming and it’s currently being remodelled. I travel so much. I’m travelling more than 200 days out of the year.”
