Canadians can go to Hawaii without quarantine restrictions as of next month
The state of Hawaii says Canadians will be allowed to visit without quarantine measures starting next month.
As of September 1, travellers arriving in Hawaii from out-of-state will have the option to get a COVID-19 test prior to their arrival and show proof of a negative test result, to avoid the 14-day quarantine.
Hawaii had imposed a mandatory two-week quarantine for all people who arrived on the island from out-of-state at the beginning of the pandemic but the state’s Department of Transportation says it will soon be open to “all trans-Pacific travelers.”

Travellers who arrive in Hawaii without a negative test result will still be subject to the 14-day quarantine.
Tests will not be made available at any Hawaiin airports, according to the island’s Department of Transportation, and travellers will be responsible for the costs of their own tests.
It should be noted that Canadians returning from Hawaii will still be required to isolate for 14 days as mandated by the federal government.
