“This is the sixth World Happiness Report. Its central purpose remains just what it was in the first Report in April 2012, to survey the science of measuring and understanding subjective well-being,” said the report.

This year, the ranking focused on migration.

“Increasingly, with globalisation, the people of the world are on the move; and most of these migrants are seeking a happier life. But do they achieve it? That is the central issue considered in this 2018 World Happiness Report.”

The World Happiness Report evaluates their data on a scale running from 0 to 10. The rankings, which are based on surveys in countries covering the three years 2015-2017.

Canada also came in at 7th place last year. So, it looks like we continue to be a happy country, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.
