A virtual concert and Christmas display is coming to Canada Place this month.

Presented in conjunction with the federal heritage ministry, the event – dubbed llumiNATION – promises to take Canadians on a cross-country virtual music show.

The virtual show will premiere on Thursday, December 17 at 5 pm and feature a special filmed performance from Canada Place by singer-songwriter Jill Barber.

“From December 17 until January 7, 2021, I invite you to be dazzled by IllumiNATION, a virtual celebration of lights across the country that will feature talented Canadians from coast to coast to coast,” said Steven Guilbeault, Minister of Canadian Heritage. “This virtual show would not have been possible without the contribution of partners such as Canada Place at the Port of Vancouver. Wherever you are, let’s discover the most beautiful lights in the country together.”

IllumiNATION will also premiere at the virtual launch of the 33rd annual Christmas at Canada Place event, presented by the Port of Vancouver.

The public is invited to tune into the family-friendly, online event, which will feature highlights such as a photo tour of the historic Woodward’s Windows and Avenue of Christmas Trees, delicious holiday recipes, a special holiday-themed Sails of Light display, and more.

More information is available on the Canada Place website.
