Wednesday night saw Canada take the stage at the 2019 Honda Celebration of Light with a colourful, upbeat performance.

The 29^th annual fireworks competition saw Firemaster Productions represent Team Canada for the eighth time.

Sean Morris, president and lead designer of Firemaster Productions, told Daily Hive that their performance would be centred around “Feel Good Hits of the Summer,” with a fun soundtrack and a huge finale.

Morris’ team also carries a winning record. The company captured first place awards at the 2014 and 2018 Blackpool World Fireworks Competition and 2017 Calgary Globalfest International Fireworks Competition.

Members of his team, including himself, were also subcontracted by another fireworks company to work on the BC Place Stadium roof fireworks during the Opening Ceremony of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics.

Needless to say, Team Canada was ready to put on a show-stopping performance:
