UPDATE: Cambie Bridge has reopened to traffic
EARLIER:
The south side of the Cambie Street Bridge is closed due to a Hazmat situation.
Fortis BC says it was a third party that caused the gas leak, and crews are now on scene to contain it.
The Vancouver Fire Department say they’ve assessed residential suites in the area and that the evacuation is wrapping up. There have been no reports of injuries.

Traffic has been greatly impacted and has backed up along the Cambie Street Bridge.
