Vancouver's Cambie Bridge will close for a helicopter operation Saturday

Nov 21 2020, 12:35 am

The Cambie Bridge will be closed to drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians for three hours Saturday morning, according to the City of Vancouver.

No one will be allowed on it from 6 to 9 am on Saturday, November 21 while a helicopter lifts a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning unit away from the area.

There will also be several road closures on both sides of the bridge, and there will be limited access to Coopers Park on the north end of the bridge.

The bridge connects Olympic Village to the downtown core, and people wanting to cross can use the Granville Bridge, the Burrard Bridge, or the Georgia and Dunsmuir viaducts as alternatives.
